Patient Stories
Badria al Quffah
Age: 70
Our team recently visited Badria al Quffah, a 70-year-old patient who received life-changing knee replacement surgery during our inaugural medical mission to Gaza. For 11 years, severe osteoarthritis had left Badria unable to walk, drastically impacting her physical and emotional health. She also copes with diabetes, hypertension, and bladder cancer. Badria’s dream was simple – to walk again and reclaim happiness.
Just one month after surgery, we were amazed to see Badria walking independently without any assistance. During our check-up visit, we provided support, assessed her excellent progress, and offered physiotherapy guidance to further boost her recovery. With consistent rehabilitation, Badria will continue regaining mobility and independence.
Badria and her caring family voiced heartfelt thanks for easing her suffering and making this transformative surgery financially accessible after years of delay. Her remarkable progress motivates our team’s mission to improve healthcare access for vulnerable populations. Reconnecting with Badria reaffirms why we do what we do – to give people back their health, hope, and quality of life.
“The surgery has been life-changing. I can enjoy my days without pain and participate in my community.”
