Dr. Khaled J. Saleh

Co-Founder, Board Chairman, and Chief Medical Officer, FAJR Global

Dr. Khaled Saleh is the Co-Founder, Board Chairman, and Chief Medical Officer of FAJR Global, a global leader in medical relief and surgical innovation. A world-renowned orthopedic surgeon and prolific academic, Dr. Saleh’s career is defined by a singular mission: to heal, to teach, and to serve.

A distinguished reputation in orthopedic surgery, global health, and health policy, Dr. Saleh has authored nearly 400 peer-reviewed publications, served as senior editor for six medical textbooks, and delivered keynote addresses on international platforms. He has mentored and trained hundreds of physicians across the globe, extending his influence far beyond the operating room.

A pioneer in surgical advancement, Dr. Saleh has personally performed more than 10,000 complex orthopedic procedures and led the design and development of next-generation hip and knee replacement systems—earning multiple granted patents and several more pending. His innovations have reshaped orthopedic standards and improved patient outcomes around the world. His peers have recognized his impact with over 50 global honors and awards, including accolades from the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, honoring his outstanding contributions to medicine and public service through Global Health.

Yet, Dr. Saleh’s legacy extends far beyond academia and innovation. His greatest work lies at the intersection of medicine and humanity—on the frontlines of crisis, in underserved regions where medical care is scarce, and where the need is most acute. For Dr. Saleh, global health is not merely a charitable endeavor—it is a matter of justice, grounded in the unwavering belief that every life—regardless of geography or circumstance—deserves dignity, excellence, and hope. It is this profound conviction that continues to guide his work around the world, where the healing power of medicine becomes a transformative act of service and compassion.

Dr. Mosab Nasser

Chief Executive Officer of FAJR Global

Dr. Nasser is the Co-Founder and CEO of FAJR, and a distinguished leader in exploration and development geophysics, with over two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry. He previously served as Shell’s global subject matter expert on 4D seismic, focusing on time-lapse rock physics and reservoir characterization. He has collaborated with major and mid-size oil and gas companies, developing successful exploration strategies and field development plans.

In addition to his industry leadership, Dr. Nasser operates his own consulting firm, offering strategic technical and business guidance to oil and gas operators, particularly in the Atlantic margins and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. He has served as Chairman of the Editorial Board for The Leading Edge magazine of geophysics and is an active member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) publications committee, reflecting his deep commitment to research, development, and the advancement of geophysics.

Since December 2022, Dr. Nasser has led FAJR’s rapid expansion into global medical relief. Under his leadership, FAJR has organized medical and surgical missions to Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and most recently Pakistan—where the cardiology team, led by Dr. Sarah Badran in partnership with SUIT, performed the first-ever cardiac surgery in the region.

Dr. Nasser also launched the FAJR Medical Evacuation Program, a pioneering initiative providing lifesaving transport from conflict zones. Under his leadership, the program successfully coordinated the evacuation of eleven children and two Al Jazeera journalists—Ali Al-Attar and Fadi Alwhaidi—from Gaza, who was injured while reporting in a conflict zone. This operation was not just a logistical achievement; it exemplified Dr. Nasser’s unwavering belief that access to urgent medical care is a human right, even in the most volatile and inaccessible regions. It is this conviction that continues to drive his work: a refusal to accept that geography or danger should determine who lives and who receives care.

Dr. Nasser continues to build strategic partnerships with key organizations and governmental bodies to expand FAJR’s global reach and advance its mission of improving public health through medical equity and humanitarian response.
