Founded in 2019 and fully operational since 2022, FAJR Global delivers expert surgical care, medical training and humanitarian aid to restore dignity and open paths to opportunity.
Who we are
Medical relief, humanitarian aid, and sustainable impact
The organization is dedicated to delivering high-impact medical, humanitarian, and educational support to vulnerable and crisis-affected communities around the world. Through international medical missions, emergency relief, patient evacuation, education programs, and capacity-building initiatives, FAJR Global works to address urgent needs while creating sustainable, long-term impact.
Under Dr. Nasser’s leadership as the President and CEO, and since 2022, FAJR Global has experienced extraordinary growth, expanding annual revenue from approximately $106,000 to more than $18 million by 2024, a more than 170-fold increase, while building a global network of over 1,000 healthcare professionals and specialists across 11 countries and delivering more than 3500 surgeries and tens of millions of dollars in value.
FAJR Global brings together healthcare professionals, humanitarian leaders, educators, and volunteers to provide specialized care and essential services in some of the world’s most challenging environments. FAJR Global is committed to the humanitarian principles of transparency, neutrality, and compassionate service, with a focus on dignity, accountability, and measurable impact.

Our mission is rooted in a Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ:
“Whoever among you wakes up secure in his home, healthy in his body, and has his food for the day, it is as if he has been given the whole world.”
We envision a world where access to life-saving medical and surgical care, quality education, nourishing food, and safe shelter is recognized as a right, not a privilege. We work to bridge the gap between those living with dignity and opportunity and those struggling in desperate need — so that no person is left feeling powerless, forgotten, or without hope.
Our story
Built mission by mission
FAJR Global is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization founded in 2019 and became fully operational in 2022. Dr. Khaled Saleh and Dr. Mosab Nasser are the co-founders of FAJR Global who come with more than 50 years of combined healthcare, operational and executive experience.
From the crowded hospitals of Gaza to forgotten refugee camps across the region, FAJR has been on the frontlines — leading surgical missions, delivering emergency relief, and standing with communities the world too often overlooks. In 2023, FAJR made history by completing the largest orthopedic mission in Palestine, performing hundreds of life-changing surgeries in just five days — proof that compassion and expertise can change lives.
With a mission to educate future healers, respond to disasters with speed and dignity, deliver critical medical care across borders, and empower the next generation to rise as leaders of change, we promise to serve with purpose, stand with the vulnerable, and keep rising for a brighter tomorrow.

FAJR serves vulnerable and underserved populations — families affected by war, displacement, poverty, natural disaster, medical hardship, and lack of access to essential care. Our programs prioritize communities with limited resources, regardless of socio-economic status, geography, religion, or ethnicity.

FAJR Medical
Surgical missions, evacuation and supplies
Volunteer surgeons deliver specialist operations where none are available, run medical evacuations and supply lines, and train local teams so the capability stays behind.
FAJR Humanity
Food, shelter and daily relief
Food assistance, shelter and orphan support, a free pharmacy and street clinics — the daily relief that keeps families going between crises and makes medical recovery possible.
FAJR Scientific
Education, research and evidence
Scholarships and support for medical students, and mission data turned into peer-reviewed research — so every operation also improves the next one.

Maryam’s Foundation
This is FAJR’s endowment in the making. The FAJR Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and subsidiary of FAJR Global, established to help secure the long-term sustainability of our humanitarian work.
Donations to the Foundation are invested, with the income generated supporting FAJR’s programs and helping sustain our work between major fundraising campaigns.
A dedicated giving mechanism for the Foundation is currently being established, and we invite donors around the world to help build this lasting source of support for FAJR’s mission.
