Impact of Surgical Missions Amid Mass Casualties from Bombardment
Between April 2024 and September 2024, FAJR carried out five surgical missions in Gaza, with 35 volunteer medical staff completing 1,705 surgeries and procedures over a period of 250 days.
Supported Overwhelmed Staff in 4 Hospitals
Increased the capacity to treat mass casualties and reduced post-surgical mortality rates.
Provided Critical Supplies and Equipment
Donated orthopedic implants, surgical gauze, external fixators, pain medications, and advanced wound care tools.
Performed Advanced Surgical Procedures
Performed Gaza’s first nerve grafts and complex burn treatments, expanding local surgical capabilities.
Trained Local Surgeons in Surgical Procedures
Offered hands-on training in nerve and vascular surgery to build long-term surgical expertise.
Stabilized Critically Injured Patients
Conducted 443 ER cases,  296 ICU management cases, 224 opthalmology cases and 7 general surgeries.
Conducted complex Orthopedic Surgeries
Performed 165 upper limb surgeries, 151 ortho reconstructuctions and 142 lower limb surgeries.
Expanded access to vascular surgery
Conducted 42 vascular procedures including debulking of gangrenous tissue, and bypass surgeries.
Performed maxillofacial and plastic surgeries
Performed 8 maxillofacial surgeries including foreign body removals from facial wounds caused by debris.

Impact of Humanitarian Efforts to Ensure Basic Necessities for those impacted by Bombardment
Medical Evacuations
Evacuated 30 critically injured children to receive urgent medical treatment abroad including prosthetics and orthopedic reconstruction.
Food Distribution
Provided 10,000 food parcels, 10,000 wheat bags, 1,000 hot meals and 200 emergency food parcels to families in need.
Medical Supplies Distribution
Delivered 262,932 units of medication including antibiotics, analgesics, topical treatments and pediatric suspends, distributed to 10 clinics and institutions.
Free Pharmacy
Provided essential medications like 600 insulin pens and more than 1,000 other medications to those on the streets of Gaza and across the hospitals’ corridors.
Street Clinic
Provided essential medical care to 500+ patients on the streets of Gaza and across the hospitals’ corridors since January 2023.
Water Distribution
Deliver 18,000 liters of purified water weekly to Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis for a total of 100,000 liters of water to date.

Conducted the regions first 14-hour free flap surgery, raising medical standards in maxillofacial and plastic care.
