Every $1,000 raised equips one medical student with these critical tools, helping them succeed in their education and prepare to serve their communities. Founded in 2022 by Dr. Khaled Saleh and Dr. Mosab Nasser, FAJR Scientific is a US-based, apolitical, and multi-denominational non-profit organization that has quickly become a global leader in humanitarian initiatives. FAJR specializes in providing world-class surgical expertise and operational excellence in underserved regions. Since its inception, FAJR has transformed thousands of lives through medical missions, educational initiatives, and critical healthcare interventions.

Key accomplishments include:

  • Conducting 10 major surgical missions in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
  • Performing over 1,900 surgeries, including complex trauma and reconstructive procedures.
  • Treating more than 10,000 patients through its missions.
  • Donating $8 million in medical supplies, medications, and volunteer time.

In 2023, FAJR conducted the largest orthopedic mission in Gaza’s history, performing 153 surgeries in just five days at key hospitals like Shifa, Nasser, and the European Hospital. FAJR remains committed to bridging the gap between access and opportunity for underserved communities.

FAJR Scientific’s administrative costs were under 1% in 2023 and 3.9% in 2024. We strive to keep our annual administrative costs under 5%, ensuring that your donations go directly toward impactful initiatives.

Samir Foundation

Our goal is to honor the dream of a father who aspired to see his son succeed in medicine. We are dedicated to rebuilding Gaza’s healthcare system by supporting future healthcare leaders through scholarships, mentorship, and resources.

The Samir Foundation, established by Ezz Lulu in memory of his late father, Samir, is dedicated to rebuilding Gaza’s healthcare system and empowering its future healthcare leaders. Samir had always dreamed of seeing his son become a doctor, and this foundation honors that vision by providing essential resources, scholarships, and mentorship to medical students.

Working closely with partners like FAJR Scientific, the Samir Foundation supports students from institutions like the Islamic University and Al-Azhar University in Gaza, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed in their academic and clinical journeys. This collaboration fosters resilience and hope for a brighter future in Gaza.

Key accomplishments include:

  • Providing financial support to 730 medical students and 27 teaching assistants for six months in partnership with HCI.
  • Renovating a training hall at the Public Aid Hospital, enhancing educational facilities for medical professionals.
  • Organizing medical workshops and courses to equip students and doctors with advanced knowledge and practical skills.
  • Distributing first aid kits to doctors across Gaza to improve emergency response capabilities.
  • Supplying winter clothing to medical students in northern Gaza, ensuring their comfort during challenging conditions.
